Differentiation (Support)

Script Template: Provide a simple, fill-in-the-blank template for the script (e.g., "Are you suffering from [Problem]? Introducing Mindfulness! It helps with [Benefit 1], [Benefit 2], and [Benefit 3]!").

Role Focus: Assign students specific differentiated roles, such as Time Keeper or Benefits Checker, based on their individual abilities or needs.

Presentation Format: Allow the group to present a written script and read it dramatically instead of memorizing lines or physically acting out complex scenes.

Differentiation (Challenge)

Research Requirement: Require groups to conduct a quick search to find one credible source (like a university study or health organization) to back up one of their chosen benefits, integrating the citation into the infomercial (e.g., "Studies at UCLA show that...").

Targeted Audience: Assign a specific, challenging target audience for the infomercial (e.g., a kindergarten student, a professional athlete, a grumpy history teacher), requiring more creative adaptation of the benefits.

Advanced Prop/Set Design: Challenge students to use only found objects in the room to create a minimal, but effective, "set" or costume piece.

Extension

Film Festival: Host a “Mindfulness Film Festival” where students present their videos to another class or at a school assembly.

Personal Reflection: After presenting, students write a short paragraph responding to:
“Which benefit of mindfulness feels most meaningful to you - and why?”

Revisit: After practicing the daily mindfulness practices for two weeks, have students return to the Benefits of Mindfulness list and reflect on whether they’ve noticed any of these benefits in their own lives.
